Nope, sorry. Part of our agreement with the Distance Summit last year was that we would only reproduce these videos on the website.

Is there any way I can download these videos to my computer?

About Event

Super Distance Summit - Site

The Super Distance Summit replaces the National Distance Running Summit currently on hiatus for the year.

Our staff of lecturers is a mix of successful high school, college and professional coaches bringing a wealth of knowledge and revolutionary ideas to a coach-friendly forum.

The 2010 Summit will provide coaches choices based upon areas of interest.

2010 Speakers

Brad Hudson, Boulder, CO
Brad Hudson has risen as one of the nation’s foremost distance coaches having overseen the development of Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein, among others, for the past eight years.

Hudson, the founder and coach of the Marathon Performance Group, has directed athletes to multiple U.S championships including James Carney’s US Half Marathon title and Ritz’ cross country title.

He is the co-author of the book Run Faster From the 5k to the Marathon: How to Be Your Own Best Coach and is a dynamic speaker with revolutionary ideas regarding training.

Scott Raczko, Reston, VA
Scott Raczko first displayed his keen insight into training design when he coached high schooler Alan Webb to a 3:53.43 prep mile record while at South Lakes High School in 2001. Raczko continued Webb’s development over the next eight year’s seeing him set personal bests of 1:43.84 for 800m, 3:30.54 for 1500m, 13:10.86 for 5k and 27:34 for 10k.

Raczko’s efforts aided Webb in winning three US 1500-meter titles and saw him break Steve Scott’s American Record in the mile with a 3:46.91.

Armando “Mando” Siqueiros, Mission Prep College High School, San Luis Obispo, CA
Mando Siqueiros is the coach behind the stellar high school career of Jordan Hasay, the two-time Footlocker champion from Mission College Prep High School.

Siqueiros’ approach to the development of Hasay was not only focused on high school achievements, but more importantly on the long term career progression of a young lady who one day may be America’s best.

Jeff Johnson, Hanover High School Distance Track Coach, NH
Jeff Johnson would be a more recognized legend of US distance running if he weren’t so damn humble. But his footprint on the sport only continues to grow. Most recently Johnson identified and coached high schooler Andrew Wheating and directed him to Oregon where he became an 800m Olympian. Johnson was also the founder and coach of the Nike Farm Team but his influence on the sport goes back much farther as he was Nike’s first employee and became one of the company’s most creative shoe designer.

Charlie Kern, Former York High School Assistant Coach
Charlie Kern was the assistant coach for 8 of the 26 state titles that York High School has amassed. He coached 6 individual track state champions and is currently on of the directors of the Midwest Distance Gala.

Kern’s first hand experience of the values and of the structure of York’s cross country team that, on average brings out over 180 boys each year, is a valuable insight that any coach, high school or college, can benefit from.

Pete Rea, ZAP Fitness, Blowing Rock, ND
Pete Rea is the coach and the Elite Athlete Coordinator of the ZAP Fitness Team USA Training Center. He has coached over a dozen individuals to Olympic Trial berths including two 5,000-meter finalists. Rea has seen nine athletes selected to US World Championship teams and writes a column for The Running Journal called “Learning From The Young Guns.”

Scott Simmons
Scott Simmons is the coach of nationally ranked NCAA Division II Queens University of Charlotte. He also coaches the athletes of the American Distance Project and is the co-author of the book Take The Lead: A Revolutionary Approach To Coaching Cross Country.

He has led his college teams to five national championship titles and is a six-time NAIA National Coach of the Year.
