Amar Elmore, a senior at Chandler High, repeated as champion in the Division 1 boys discus throw with a personal-best 190-8 (58.11m) in the fourth round at the Arizona State Championships at Mesa Community College. Elmore, who improved on his previous-best 190-5 (58.03m), prevailed last season with a mark of 180-9 (55.09m).
