Joelle Trepagnier, a sophomore at Culver City High in California, won the girls 200-meter final in a wind-legal 23.62 seconds and finished second in the 400-meter final in 53.55 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis. Trepagnier also contributed to Culver City winning the 4x400-meter relay championship in 3:41.08, as the Centaurs finished second overall as a team with 31 points.
