Alexandria Morgan Runs Strapless In Banned TomTom Ad #tomtomcardio #tomtom

Alexandria Morgan runs strapless in Banned TomTom Ad #tomtomcardio #TomTom Here is a link to the TomTom Runner Cardio

TomTom is making a big move in the Heart Rate Monitor market with the release of the TomTom Runner Cardio so it's fitting they would push the boundaries in their marketing efforts.  Most runners get paid to run fast, but model Alexandria Morgan gets paid to run in slomo for this ad.  The video is set to the running classic song 'Chariots Of Fire', but instead of guys in white, running on the beach, this is set a super model running in a bra (and watch) on the boardwalk.

Girls that watch this video may miss the sales pitch, but the guys will most likely watch it all the way through and see that this ad shows, in slowmo, that your heart rate monitor doesn't need a chest strap anymore if you pick up the latest gadget from TomTom...

All jokes aside, this is worth checking out.  Post in the comments below or tweet to #tomtomcardio with your thoughts on how TomTom approached the marketing for this and/or if you have tried the product. Here is a link to the TomTom Runner Cardio

This Ad would have gone away quietly if not for all those who took offense to it. It did make me research the watch though, so thanks for posting it RunnerSpace as I don't watch TV I would have never seen the Ad and I doubt you would have posted this if it were not news. Why is it news because it was banned and now has almost 5 million youtube hits. According to Alexadria "They came to me with the idea and I really liked it a lot," she says. "It's funny. It's kitsch. It's cute video fun and the kid in it was so nice." "I wasn't expecting it to be banned," she says. "It's just a woman's body. You shouldn't be ashamed of that. It's empowering." Also thanks Ross for the link to the Nike video I never saw that one either very funny, though I don't see how you can find the TomTom Ad bad if the Nike Ad was ok.

Wow!! REALLY??? You're going to be "that guy"? This is insulting to women runners. Most women runners do not identify with the "gawking at bewbs" culture that other sports have embraced. I am proud to be a women who runs and who keeps my tatas tight to my chest so that they don't promote gawking when I'm too busy being a badass to become some dude's afternoon hand fantasy. Shame on tomtom and shame on @Runnerspace for promoting this. I feel like a public apology to women runners would be appropriate as well as immediate removal of this ad. It fails to speak to women runners and the class that typically runners have. I am grossly disappointed and if this ad is not remove I will be discontinuing use of Runner Space. The running culture I belong to would not promote this and I am grossly disappointed in promoting of this ad.

I am with you on how over the top this video is. I think TomTom intended to do that with some of the up close shots... This is a running video, so I personally don't think it's bad to be posted on a running website, especially with the description posted under it and it's sarcastic style. This video reminds me of the nude running video Nike did a few years back for the Nike Free (here is a link - http://training.runn...&video_id=10244 ). I do like seeing running companies push the boundary on their marketing, but agree that this one may have been over the edge :).
