Who I Am...

I started running 7 years ago to help kick my smoking habit, well I don't smoke and I'm an avid runner.  I've ran a couple of half marathons, ten milers, 5k's and of course 2 mile runs but now it's time to step it up to the full marathon.

I'm in the military until the end of the year then off to school in New Jersey, I'm really excited about it.  I first have to finish this deployment.

That's cool how you turned your health around and became a runner instead of a tobacco user. Was it hard?

So, I finished marathon #3. Can't wait until #4 at OBX, NC. Marine Corps Marathon was challenging but fun, very patriotic.

Jeremy, Hey man!  Things are gonig pretty good over here, the R and R def helped out  a lot.  I needed to get away and clear my mind of this place.  I have been running a lot since I have been back, the 5k route is def getting old, but when we have the longer races, that helps break it up. How about you?  Life going okay back home?

I just completed my first Marathon, I never knew I could hurt so bad yet feel so good. It's very weird. I will be posting pictures as soon as I can. Maybe I will finally have a good picture to use as my avatar.

What up J! I actually just got another extension approved, so I will be through 5 Jan 2010, but then I am going to extend again. Most likely will stick around until we have to pull out completely by 31 Dec 2011 unless some stuff comes up back home. Another Marathon sounds awesome man! Pounding out those miles is huge when you are preparing for a marathon and I am sure you have gotten on a good program, so kick some butt! I am about 90% sure I will be back in Oct to run the Army ten miler, so if your around, well have to get some peeps together for drinks afterwards. I have a couple buddies out there that I am already hooking up with so it should be a good time. I will hit ya up if I am ever in Fort Bragg. Peace Bro! Sherrod

Well, I just finished my second marathon and beat my last time by 23 minutes; I ran 4:04:28, a personal best. Now, I'm getting ready to start doing some 10 milers and some half's for the season all to get ready for the Marine Corps Marathon in October and possibly the Army Ten Miler. I'm hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon next year. Good Training.
