De La Salle CA (216) and Mt. Carmel CA (244) were third and fourth. ** BOYS SEEDED Indiv.: Arcadia also had the individual champ as junior Estevan De La Rosa ran 15:06. He was followed by Lewis & Clark WA sr Sumner Goodwin (15:09), Milpitas CA sr Yohaness Estifanos (15:13), and Sir Francis Drake CA sr John Lawson (15:19). ** GIRLS SEEDED Indiv.: US#2 Glacier Peak WA sr Amy-Eloise Neale blazed a 16:52 to repeat as champion, but was the fastest overall this year, too (2nd in 2011). It was a 1-2 Washington finish as Camas soph Alexa Efraimson outlasted Cherry Creek CO soph Jordyn Colter for the next spot, 17:04-17:05. Branson jr Julia Maxwell was the top home state finisher in fourth at 17:25. ** GIRLS SEEDED Teams: St. Francis (Sacramento) CA, state-ranked #2 in D1 (prepcaltrack.com) and 6th in CA (Marc Bloom) took a close battle with 138 points in the 26-team field. Davis, #5 in CA D1, was second with 149, followed by Cherry Creek CO 157. Neale’s Glacier Peak team, US#17 coming in, was just 8th. ** Other races: Vista Del Lago’s girls, ranked #1 in CA D3 and CA#8, won the D3 race with Madeline Ankhelyi winning at 17:39 – 6th fastest of the day – and Clare Carroll second.
