Eric Sloan placed sixth in the long jump and Nick Ponzio sixth in the shot put, while Michael Norman in the 400m and Marquis Morris in the 110m hurdles advanced to event finals on Friday during the first day of the 2017 NCAA Track & Field Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. today (June 7). USC’s men earned six points in the team competition and are currently tied for 14th heading to the men’s finals on Friday. The women’s team will begin competition tomorrow.
